I took this image at Tehidy country park last summer. I used a Canon 400d with a 300mm f4 lens at f5.6 handheld.

About Me

Greg Wills: I am 16 and my hobby is wildlife watching and wildlife photography. I live in Falmouth and most of my birding and photography is done in Cornwall. All aspects of wildlife interest me, such as Reptiles and Amphibians, Butterflies and Moths, Plants and Mammals, but my main interest is Birds. In this Blog I hope to upload some of my best images along with record shots of interesting Plants and Animals. I have recently been entering wildlife photography competitions in the hope of being highly commended, as of yet I have had no major success but in 2008 I reached the semi-finals of Wildlife photographer of the year. In the 2009 competition I went one better and reached the final round of judging but was unsuccessful. However at least I am improving! I will upload more pictures when time allows, but due to commitments with coursework and competitions not wanting pictures to be released untill they are finished with them,there may be a delay. I hope you enjoy my pictures as much as I have enjoyed taking them,Greg.

International Wildlife Photographer of the Year

This Snowy Owl was one of two shots that made it to the final round of judging in the 2009 Veolia Wildlife Photographer of the Year Photographic Competition and is my highest achievement in wildlife photography so far.

Camera bag

Canon 1d Mark iii, Canon 400d with a 300mm F4 lens and 1.4x or 2x converter. I also use a Canon 100mm F2.8 Macro lens, a Kenko Extension Tube set, canon 18-55mm EF-S zoom lens and a Manfrotto Tripod.
